Crimson Owl Technologies is a Netherlands-based firm that assesses and documents Azure and Microsoft 365 architecture. We value clarity over noise, preparation over urgency, and outcomes over optics.
The checks we run are not opinions, and they are not invented on the spot. They are the architecture reviews we have run for years, written down as code, so the same judgement arrives every time and you can read why it fired.
In practice: we work with ambitious startups who are building fast and need to know their platform will hold. Not after the incident. Before it.
The Origin
Crimson Owl Technologies was founded the moment someone in a meeting said: "There has to be a better way to control this."
Not chaos. Not disruption. Control.
The Owl was chosen because it does not chase. It waits. It sees. It acts exactly once.
The Founder
Marc Dekeyser
Founder, Crimson Owl Technologies
Marc is a cloud architect with 20 years of experience across Azure platform engineering, infrastructure, and security. He spent ten of those years at Microsoft, across Europe and the United States — first as a Senior Premier Field Engineer working with enterprise clients, then three years in Microsoft for Startups, running the architecture reviews Microsoft gave its startups. Roughly a thousand of them, from seed to unicorn.
The pattern repeated often enough to be worth writing down: companies grew faster than the platform underneath them, and nobody noticed until it was expensive.
At Microsoft, Marc contributed to the Well-Architected Framework customer journeys and developed cloud adoption frameworks specifically for startups. He holds Azure Solution Architect certification and has spoken at 11+ public events on Azure architecture, Zero Trust, and cloud security.
He founded Crimson Owl Technologies to make that depth of experience available to every technical team — not just the ones with enterprise budgets.
